I am a writer and editor working in Toronto.
Until 2016 I was a journalist, covering covering finance, business and national affairs. Now I do the same thing for a corporate audience.
I spent 11 years living in Ottawa, studying at the University of Ottawa and Carleton University. While getting my master's in journalism at Carleton, I worked at the Ottawa Citizen, Postmedia News, and Reuters. My thesis was on The Thief and the Cobbler, the lost masterpiece of the world's greatest living animator, Richard Williams. I was there in Los Angeles in December 2013 at the movie's first-ever public showing, where Williams for the first time met with the young man who had rebuilt the supposedly lost work and posted it on YouTube. It was an extraordinary evening, and my piece ended up being shortlisted for a National Magazine Award.
After graduation I worked for the Wire Report and Reuters, then moved to Toronto to work at the Canadian Press and Yahoo News. I now work for RBC as a writer, researcher and content manager.
